Animatic, some progress and an extension

Oof. A combo of my work moving locations, a change in focus of Chase’s show (now in October!) and a sudden trip to the coast (doctor’s orders, because it’s been two years since we last went, and both Chase and I needed out of the city to refresh), and and and. Illustration focus, progress 4

Busy, shoulder issues and a bit of a cold have hung me up a bit, but I’ve got the last illustrations for Primp and one for In Search for the King to share!  Both let me play in InDesign and learn about wrapping text. And both laid out really well, Primp is a perfect three pages with both the header and spot illustrations and In Search turned out precisely one page. Continuing the paper cut out style I wanted for Primp, I made two figures, referencing from my hilarious 1979…

Illustration focus: progress 3

BAM, ‘nother one done. This is the title page for Primp, which is set in a semi-Victorian world. So I wanted the illustrations to reflect Victorian paper cut work. Only I am a lazy thing and am not going to actually cut that paper.  But! The image is created in a way that it could be a whole piece of paper, without loose bits.
